A’Beckett Park Vision Statement

A’Beckett Park is currently owned by the Anglican Diocese of Gippsland and managed by Hall’s Outdoor Education. The Anglican Diocese has a grand vision for the park and would like to see this vision realized within the next ten years. The vision includes knocking down some of the older buildings and building accommodation wings on Pratt Hall (the A-Frame). The Park would become a more modern Conference Centre and Camp with a focus on Sustainability in the areas of the buildings and of business. There are plans for a Café on the corner of First Parade and Fourth Avenue for the benefit of the local island community. There are also plans for a public use park area and some powered camping sites. The Managers Residence is being considered for use as a spiritual retreat.
